For the second year in a row, Green Hammer has been honored as a “Best for the World” company in the 2019 B Corporation rankings, earning a score in the top 10% on the B Impact Assessment. Using the B Impact Assessment, B Lab evaluates how a company's operations and business model impact its workers, community, environment, and customers. To achieve the B Corp Certification, a company must achieve a score of at least 80 points on the assessment.

Best for the World Honorees are assessed by their verified positive impact on their communities, how their employees are cared for, and for contributions to our environment, both locally and nationally. Green Hammer was also included in the Best for the World: Environment list, which highlights honorees who are taking bold action with their planet-friendly practices, attention to material usage and their carbon footprint, and their environmental preservation and conservation initiatives.

The 'Best For The World' recognition is led by B Lab, the global non-profit that certifies and supports Certified B Corporations, which are for-profit companies dedicated to using business as a force for good. Today, there are 3,000 Certified B Corporations across 64 countries and 150 industries, unified by one common goal: to redefine success in business.

Photo: The open, bright interior space of Olia Poké and Tea was a great collaboration between Green Hammer, a certified B Corporation, and a family-owned restaurant focused on providing healthful food for students, faculty and patients' families at the OHSU Knight Cancer Research Building in Portland. Green Hammer served as the general contractor overseeing the tenant improvements (TI) of this ground-floor space along Portland's South Waterfront.
