Brennan is an artist and explorer with a passion for both the rugged wilderness of the Pacific Northwest and the intricate artistry of carpentry. With his combination of creativity and technical know-how, Brennan is a true asset to our team.
Originally hailing from the Eastern seaboard, Brennan journeyed westward more than 15 years ago and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. After living in Bend for almost a decade, he moved to Portland, which offered easy access to the outdoors and opportunities to explore many other interests.
Before joining Green Hammer, Brennan refined his carpentry skills through an eclectic blend of commissioned projects. He served as a submarine sonar technician (STS 2 SS) in the U.S. Navy and is an accomplished fabricator with both art and more practical metalwork installs around Portland. He has also managed a wide range of construction projects and large-scale art installation, among other things.
In his day-to-day work at Green Hammer, Brennan is known for problem solving and exploring creative solutions to challenges. From carpentry to procurement, he helps wherever he’s needed. He says he is firmly aligned with our mission and company culture, and hopes to deepen his understanding of zero energy buildings while fostering his creativity within our dynamic team.
Outside of work, Brennan loves spending time in the great outdoors. From cave spelunking to backpacking, coastal adventures, and bouldering with his daughter, his thirst for adventure draws him to roads less traveled. A strong believer in the sustainability of alternative transit, you can find him whenever possible riding one of his motorized all-terrain longboards. And, when he can find the time, Brennan turns his attention to his own home remodeling projects in the ongoing pursuit to build a more sustainable and smarter home.
