Kevin brings a passion for visual arts and restoration as well as extensive experience in project management to his role of Project Engineer.
Seeking a community of multi-disciplinary designers, artists and builders, Kevin moved to Portland and joined Green Hammer in June 2018. He brings a passion for visual arts and restoration as well as extensive experience in project management to his role of Project Engineer.
Having grown up in the Midwest exploring lakes and rivers and snapping photos along the way, he applied his love of the outdoors and the arts when pursuing a degree in visual communications and photojournalism. He traveled throughout Southeast Asia and all corners of the United States as a photojournalist before settling in Chicago. His love of historic buildings and period furniture inspired him to start a business sourcing, restoring and customizing sought-after pieces for architects, interior designers and set and film designers.
He eventually moved to Cincinnati where he embarked on his first home restoration project — a century old German-brick row house. In learning the process of home design, permitting, restoration and renovation, he grew to love the design-build process. As someone who has learned a lot through trial and error, he loves that, as a company, Green Hammer strives for continuous improvement and self-discovery.
When he’s not working, Kevin spends the lion's share of his time searching for new swimming holes for his pup, Shuggie.
