Extreme adaptability combined with her attention to detail and ability to problem solve, makes Alex a great fit for the role of Project Manager.
A former Peace Corps volunteer, Alex joined the Green Hammer team in July 2014. Alex claims her role as a Peace Corps community health volunteer in Paraguay transformed her into an extremely adaptable person. This adaptability combined with her attention to detail and ability to problem solve, was what initially allowed Alex to grow and thrive at Green Hammer. Fast forward and a few promotions later, Alex now assumes the role of Project Manager.
Alexandra plays a critical role in advancing Green Hammer's mission of designing and building high-performance Net Zero Energy homes and pocket neighborhoods. In her focus on the intersection of construction and sustainable excellence, she is helping to advance the built environment in Portland and the entire state of Oregon. She says she enjoys the forward-thinking projects and admirable co-workers at Green Hammer. "I have always been drawn to a career that provides meaningful work. I want to know that what I dedicate most of my day to is positively helpful, whether that be international volunteerism or building durable and energy efficient buildings. I am very lucky to have a job that inspires me in this way consistently."
An ex-collegiate athlete, Alex loves to be active whether that's soccer, running, biking or hiking. She loves cheering on all the Portland sports teams as well, from the Thorns to the Blazers. You might find her perusing the newest brewery for the best IPA in town, glued up in a crafty project, or researching her next international adventure.
