Green Hammer Inc. receives in collaboration with the Paolo Design Group the 2009 Oregon Remodelers Association Outstanding Remodeling Achievement Award for best Green Building Remodel. The award was for a recently completed SW Portland LEED Platinum Gut-Rehab project. Portland-based Green Hammer in January announced that it became the first builder in the nation to receive Chain of Custody (CoC) certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Portland, Ore - In December of 2008, Portland-based building contractors Green Hammer Inc. gained Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification through Scientific Certification Systems (SCS). Green Hammer Inc. is the first general contractor within the United States to receive FSC CoC certifications (SCS-COC-002044). After considering nearly a dozen contractors, Mr. Temple and his wife chose Stephen Aiguier of Green Hammer Inc., whom Mr. Temple had met at a trade show.
