Eric Antonini's Zero-Energy Home - A First in Lake Oswego9.5.18
Eric Antonini, Green Hammer Buisness Development Manager, and his family are living in Lake Oswego's first Zero Energy home. The family and their beautiful home was recently featured in Lake Oswego Review.
Their renovated 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath historic residence, nestled amongst the trees in the Bryant neighborhood of Lake Oswego is a wonderful example of the huge rewards that come with choosing sustainable building. The Antoninis designed their home with a local contractor, and worked with the design-build team at Green Hammer along the way to achieve their zero-energy goals. Eric himself took on many aspects of the project, and now can proudly proclaim, “I built this house with my hands.”
This fabulous and comprehensive article highlights many of the benefits of Zero Energy homes, and the components that contribute to their success. Eric's residence includes hardwood floors that minimize dust collection, triple-pane windows and blown cellulose insulation, specially coated waterproof exterior siding, high-efficiency heat and ventilation systems, Energy Star appliances...the list goes on. As Green Hammer founder, Stephen Aiguier points out,"Once you live in one you're forever changed."
